Roseland Center receives grant award

The Roseland Community Center has received a “Cheer Grant” from the Polk County Community Foundation to support their annual “Holiday Cheer for Seniors” program for elderly residents of Tryon’s Eastside Community.

 

The long-running program provides food vouchers and gift cards and items to the senior citizens during the holiday season.

Speaking for Roseland’s Board of Directors, Joseph Fox, Roseland’s VP for Programs, expressed gratitude for the Community Foundation’s continued support of Roseland’s efforts, saying that “their kind and generous support helps us celebrate those who need and deserve a little cheer in their lives, especially during the Christmas Season.” Vouchers and gifts will be delivered in time for Christmas.
