President Diana Winkler of the Landrum Area Business Association handed Mayor Briggs a check at the monthly city council meeting. The LABA donated $2,500 dollars to go towards purchasing new playground equipment for Brookwood Park located in Landrum. 

 

The donation came from proceeds that LABA received from the Hogback Mountain Day Festival.

 

President Winkler commented on the gift saying, “We at LABA believe that whatever we receive, we must give something back to the community.”
