Tryon, NC—Susan “Anne” Ross Riggins, 70, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Anne was the daughter of the late Tollie Pickney and Lona Mae Ross. Anne was a graduate of Tryon High School and retired from Spartanburg Regional after 26 years of service.  Anne was known for her witty sense of humor and her wide variety of interest, she was a trivia buff, loved to travel and never missed her chance for a family dinner. Above all else, Anne loved her family, she was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.   

In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by a sister Betsy Jane Ross.

Anne is survived by one son, Brian Levi, two daughters, Angela Holcombe (William) and Nicole Kimbrell (Allen); seven grandchildren, Meagan Smalley, Kayla Williams (Tyler), Kristina Brannon, Jacob Kimbrell, Destiny Brannon, Gabriel Levi and Toni Liliana Kimbrell; two great-grandchildren, David Smalley and Laila Williams; one sister, Catherine Wilson; and three brothers, Tollie Curtis Ross, William Ross and Mark P. Ross.  Also Surviving are many nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, NC with Pastor George Turner officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC.
