Landrum shop is the only shop locally to participate

 

Landrum – Everyone has heard of paying it forward. Whether it is buying someone’s food at the drive thru or giving a helping hand. The Society of American Florist (SAF) made a spin off of paying it forward and they call it, Petal It Forward. 

 

October 23 was the day dedicated to Petal It Forward. The goal is for florist to give out two arrangements of flowers: one for the passerby to keep and the other to give away generating smiles for a whole day. Floral shops all over the nation participated in the event.

 

According to the SAF, 650 florists participated in the Petal it Forward event, including Expressions in Landrum. Expressions has been participating in Petal it Forward for four years and is the only floral shop in the Upstate to participate in the nationwide event. 

 

The floral team at Expressions handed out beautiful arrangements of flowers to local businesses, the fire department and community members. Expression’s team member, Amy Reid said, “[Expressions] thought it would be a great and fun way to interact with people around the upstate and share the love of flowers.”

 

And that is exactly what they did.
