There was a surprise awaiting Dr. Lily McCain when she attended a rehearsal of the Community Chorus at Tryon Presbyterian Church. She was about to become the most recent inductee to the Second Wind Hall of Fame, with the Community Chorus sponsoring her nomination.

Lily has been active in the Isothermal Belt community since moving to Campobello in 2014 from Flint, Michigan. She had recently retired from C.S. Mott Community College, where she taught for 39 years. Upon her retirement, she immediately signed up for the Community Chorus and sings second soprano. This year she joined the Chorus’ board of directors.
