Registration closed for Halloween Hayride at Red Bell Run

Published 10:51 pm Sunday, October 27, 2019

Due to a tremendous response, registration has been closed for the Halloween Hayride and Trick or Treat event to be held at The Sanctuary at Red Bell Run in Columbus. It is hopeful that this event, being held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., will be offered again next year.

Since 2017, Red Bell Run has been the forever home for rescued and special needs equines of all shapes and sizes from the tiniest baby Miniature Donkey to the largest resident, Shelby Ann a Mammoth Donkey Belgian Draft cross. Through partnerships with the Ark Watch Foundation of Los Altos, CA and other non-profit rescues and law enforcement agencies, Mary Adams, founder, has been able to offer sanctuary to over 150 equines who otherwise would have no place to go to live out their natural lives due to the moderate to severe healthcare issues caused by abuse or neglect.

Children and an accompanying parent have been invited to experience the beauty and serenity of this beautiful landscape which includes 40 acres of vineyard, as they travel around the farm by hay wagon. They will be meeting some of the animals, staff and volunteers while stopping at various equine villages to trick or treat.
