The Polk County Board of Commissioners met Monday night and was introduced to newly hired Polk County Library Director Marcie Dowling. Polk County Library Board of Trustees Diana Blanton introduced Bowling, who formerly worked for the Henderson County Library System. Blanton said Bowling was “hands down” the best candidate the board interviewed and that Bowling has working in library related services for 14 years. Bowling began employment last week.
