Tricia Taber, Editor of the Landrum News Leader, visited the Rotary Club of Tryon this week. During her visit, Tricia shared the history of the Landrum News Leader and her plans for the newspaper’s future. She stressed the important role local newspapers play in a small community where they serve as the only independent reporter of school, church, club and local government news.

Tricia was a guest of Rotarian Lennie Rizzo. The Rotarians were pleased to hear that the Landrum News Leader would continue to be published after a short shutdown. Taber encouraged all Rotarians to subscribe to their local newspaper.
