On Saturday, November 2, the eighth annual Rolling Arts Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show will be held at Thompson’s Landscaping & Stone, located at 83 Palmer Street in Tryon.
The show will run from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Awards based on spectator votes for best car, truck and motorcycle as well as Best of Show will be presented at 1:00 p.m.
A wide variety of trucks have exhibited at Rolling Arts over the years. There has been a 1955 Packard El Dorado, a 1969 Ford Bronco, restored semi tractors, a 1935 Ford ¾ ton Flatbed, a 1939 dark green Lincoln “kit” truck and the red 1949 Chevrolet 3100 sporting wood trim and American flags in our photo. Some are “hot rods”, customs or stock trucks. One year a bus that had been converted to a motor home was entered.
Rolling Art wants cars, motorcycles and trucks of all types to come to the show. Admission to the general public is free. Registration is free. Entrants are asked to bring a donation of food to be given to Thermal Belt Outreach Ministries.
