It’s time to Rock and Bowl!

Published 10:04 pm Monday, October 14, 2019

Big Brothers Big Sisters is hosting their annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake on October 19 at Autumn Lanes in Forest City.  The event is a fun celebration of fundraising success.

Friends, family, co-workers, church and club members are encouraged to form teams of three to five members to help raise funds to support the important youth mentoring programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters. Bowlers gather a minimum in pledges to participate, and in return get free t-shirts and pizza, bowl two games with free shoes, and have the chance to win great door prizes. Those who raise the most funds are recognized with special awards.

This year the theme is 1960’s Rock ‘n’ Bowl. Costumes are optional but encouraged, and the best costume will be rewarded.

Area businesses, churches, clubs and individuals generously provide sponsorships that cover the costs of the event, so that all donations raised by team members go directly to support the BBBS programs serving area children. Some sponsorships allow a team of Bigs and Littles to bowl for free!

Sponsor opportunities are still open, and door prizes and awards are needed to honor those who generate the most funds. If your business would like to contribute, please let us know at 828-859-9230 or polk@bbbswnc.org.
