Washington artist to instruct local artists on creating murals

Upstairs Artspace, Tryon’s contemporary art gallery, will host a workshop on creating murals on Tuesday, October 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The workshop will be taught by renowned muralist, Jennifer Carrasco. The workshop is open to anyone with basic design, drawing and painting skills. The class is limited to 15 participants.

“Upstairs Artspace is fortunate to get Jennifer to teach this workshop,” gallery president John Walters said. “Her work has been seen literally around the world. Any local artists who have interests in murals should attend. She will cover every aspect of what it takes to create and install murals of all sizes.”

Space is limited, and registration for the workshop closes on September 30th. To learn more, visit www.upstairsartspace.org.
