The students in Mrs. Durby’s class at the Tryon Seventh-Day Adventist School began their school year with Career and Community week. They toured the Columbus Library, Days Inn, St. Luke’s Hospital, Columbus Fire Station, The Ice Cream Barn and Entegra Bank. The students explored various careers and learned many things about their community.

Many thanks to the local sites who hosted our visits welcomed us warmly, gave us informative tours, and provided many hands-on experiences for our students! We want our students to think about ways they can be an active part of their community both now and when they grow up.
