Fireside Collective to perform August 23 at Summer Tracks
Published 10:45 pm Thursday, August 15, 2019
The 20th Anniversary season of Tryon’s most popular summer event —Summer Tracks — continues on Friday, August 23rd, with Fireside Collective.
Winners of the 2016 Merle Fest Band Competition, Fireside Collective has blazed a name for themselves as a must-see progressive acoustic ensemble. Formed in 2014, Fireside is a group of folk music enthusiasts who blend elements of traditional bluegrass and American roots music with modern acoustic arrangements. With an energetic live show, the band presents original music infused with tight harmonies. They transition smoothly between danceable bluegrass numbers and passionate folk ballads. With mandolin, dobro, banjo and acoustic guitar layered on top of rock-solid standup bass, the band delights in exploring the boundaries of roots music, calling their style “Bluegrass, Newgrass and perhaps Progressive Folk.”
Fireside Collective’s second studio album, Life Between The Lines (released 2017), helped them garner a nomination for an IBMA momentum award for best band. Their new album is produced by Travis Book of The Infamous Stringdusters, will be released early Fall this year. Fireside Collective members are Jesse Iaquinto (mandolin), Tommy Maher (dobro), Carson White (bass), Joe Cicero (guitar) and Alex Genova (banjo). www.firesidecollectiveband.com

The final show of the 2019 Summer Tracks season will be Friday, September 6 when Queen Bee and the Honeylovers will perform.
