Laurie Blair to present Circle of Family in Charleston

 

CAMPOBELLO—The American Quilter’s Society has announced that Laurie Blair of Campobello, SC has been accepted as a contestant in the QuiltWeek-Charleston 2019 competition for her quilt, Circle of Family.

The American Quilter’s Society is the largest quilting membership organization in the world. The AQS has been a leading voice in quilting inspiration and advice for the last 35 years. The AQS has the belief that anyone with the proper resources and a creative personality can take their quilting projects beyond what they thought possible. 

The American Quilter’s Society QuiltWeek Charleston features 450 quilts from around the world. The competition gives contestants the opportunity to compete for $54,000 in cash awards. This contest and exhibition will feature work from 43 states and 12 different countries, making it a truly international competition. 

The contest quilts as well as hundreds of special exhibit quilts will be on display at the AQS QuiltWeek in the Charleston Area Convention Center beginning on Wednesday, September 25 and ending on Friday, September 27.
