Man suffered burns to 35 percent of his body
COLUMBUS—A utility worker was shocked and burned Friday afternoon just outside Columbus.
Polk County EMS Director Michael Crater said the accident happened along Highway 108 around 12:45 p.m.
The man, who was not identified, received burns over about 35 percent of his body.
Crater said the man was in a bucket truck and he made contact with a power line.
The man was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and was initially listed as in serious condition.
Crater said on Monday morning that he did not have any further updates on the incident.
