Delbert Leon Case

Columbus, NC—Delbert Leon Case of Columbus, NC passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Delbert was born in Bryson City to the late Charlie Harvey Case and Beulah Disney Case. Delbert was employed by CYP for 35 years, after his retirement, he formed his own business, the Delbert Case Company. Delbert always took great pride in his work and strived to be a protectionist at everything he did. Delbert was well respected and liked by everyone who knew him. He was a member of Columbus Baptist Church where he served on the Board of Deacons and several other committees.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Troy Case, Truman Case and Roy Case.
Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Harriet Arledge Case; one brother James Disney of Knoxville, TN and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2019 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, NC with Reverend Robert Capps and Mr. William Mills officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC.
