Concert Filming at Nina Simone childhood home 

 

TRYON—The public is invited to attend a concert filming session at the Nina Simone childhood home, the concert starts at 5:00 p.m. tonight and ends at 8:00 p.m. Vanessa Ferguson is a singer/songwriter out of Greensboro, NC, and was a semifinalist on NBC’s “The Voice”. Ferguson was a part of legendary R&B singer Alicia Keys team, while performing on The Voice.  

Ferguson will be holding a concert filming session at the childhood home of world renown artist Nina Simone. The house has undergone a massive preservation effort in recent months thanks to the National Trust for Historic Preservation and through many generous donations. The house is located at 30 East Livingston Street, just outside of Downtown Tryon.
