At the July 16th meeting of the Rotary Satellite Club of Tryon, Columbus Councilman Robert Williamson spoke to the Tryon Estates Rotarians and other community residents.  His briefing entitled “The Social Economic Overview of Polk County and Columbus” covered a wide variety of subjects including population demographics, employer distribution,  county work force composition, population economics and unique challenges affecting a rural county. He concluded his presentation with an overview of the Columbus Habitat Office services and a status report on the Charters of Freedom project.
