PEGGY JO SHEHAN PAINTER

COLUMBUS, NC- – Peggy Jo Shehan Painter of Columbus passed away, on Monday, July 15, 2019. 

 

A native of Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Jake Shehan and Mary Jane Walker Shehan.  Peggy Jo was a lover of all sports, a high school wrestling fanatic and a cowbell carrying granny.  She was a member of Mill Creek Church of the Brethren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Marie Painter; three brothers and three sisters. 

 

Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Coy Painter; three sons, Barry Painter (Kymber) of Inman, SC, Keith Painter of Polk County and Andy Painter of Robinson, IL; seven grandchildren, Austin Painter (Floppy Ears), Kamron Painter (Curly Q), MacKenzie Painter (Dumplin), Joseph Painter (Punkin), Jacob Painter (Two-Ton), Colby Painter (Trigger) and Madison Painter (Peanut); and two great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is one brother, Steve Shehan; four sisters, Judy Ruff, Elizabeth Wall, Jewel Lynch and Pauline Jackson. 

 

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Mill Spring First Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Aaron Pruitt officiating.
