Approximately 125,000 gallons lost

COLUMBUS—Anyone traveling through Columbus in front of Polk Memorial Gardens got a show Thursday afternoon as water was shooting high from a main water line break.

The break occurred around 3 p.m. Thursday in front of the cemetery along Highway 108 when construction crews cut into the main water line. The town responded and shut the water off to customers from the roundabouts to Lynn in order to make repairs.
