Landrum residents will see new rates begin July 1 

LANDRUM—On Tuesday May 14, City Administrator Rich Caplan told the City Council that Republic Services will be increasing their rates. The City of Landrum has a contract with Republic Services for garbage collection; Caplan said that the Republic Services is raising the price of their service by just under two percent. The increase is within Republic Services rights in the contract. The increase in rates will take affect on July 1. Recycle cans come with the garbage package and does not count as having a second can. The increase in price only affects the garbage cans.
