Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Monday, April 29, 2019, with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 108 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.  

The following persons were convicted of a crime:  

Jessica A. Fisher-Boyd was convicted of uttering forged instrument and obtaining property under false pretense. Fisher-Boyd was sentenced to three days in jail, 24 months supervised probation, $235 in restitution and court costs.

Anthony Eugene Moss was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Moss was sentenced to one day in jail with credit and court costs.  

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, with Judge Emily Cowan presiding, 58 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.  

The following persons were convicted of a crime:  

Juan Ramon Contreras was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Contreras was sentenced to 12 days in jail with credit and court costs.  

Duvier N. Hernandez was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Hernandez was fined $40 and court costs.  

Timothy Edwin Russell was convicted of open container after consumption of alcohol first and possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Russell was fined $50 and court costs.  

Quint Waddell-Williams was convicted of failure to comply with monies. Waddell-Williams was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit.
