TROT to host Veterans’ Family Fun Day at FENCE

Therapeutic Riding of Tryon (TROT) will host a Veterans’ Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 8th from 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Foothills Equestrian Nature Center (FENCE). This event is free to veterans and their families. Participants do not need to pre-register. Come join us at FENCE’s Rosemary’s Barn.  

 

The Veterans’ Family Fun Day will provide opportunities to interact with horses including grooming stations, an obstacle course, and getting to know “Puddin’ Pie” and friends. Pony rides will be offered to children 12 and under.

Not only will veterans and their families get to know TROT’s equine friends, they will also learn about popular veteran equestrian activities, as well as rescuing and (re)training horses with John Thurow, a veteran and horseman.  

 

The afternoon will conclude with a guided nature walk with the FENCE staff.  

 

TROT, Therapeutic Riding of Tryon, is a program that provides equine-assisted activities to exceptional adults and children in a safe, friendly and supportive environment. TROT is a Premier Accredited Center of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Int’l)
