Join us for a lively evening of music, friends and fun as the sun goes down over the Blue Ridge Mountains. The HotPoint Trio headlines the Thursday, May 9 performance of the Series with Gypsy jazz and swing.

HotPoint Trio pays homage to the acoustic swing jazz style created in 1930’s Paris, by guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stephane Grappelli, known as Gypsy Jazz. HotPoint plays various genres incorporating a contemporary style and interpretation into their live performances.

Utilizing red-hot originality empowered by tradition, HotPoint Trio carries delighted audiences to another place in time with their matchless blend of refined acoustic swing and Gypsy jazz. Incorporating the classic essence of 1930s France into an increasingly modern repertoire, all occasions are made timeless when HotPoint begins to play. Guided by a bouncing upbeat pulse, the trio weaves fresh twists into the fabric of Django Reinhardt’s legacy with unbridled passion and enthusiastic charm.

Producing a more voluminous sound than most three-piece ensembles, HotPoint adapts deep musical arrangements for their talented trio comprised of virtuoso guitarist Steve Karla, upright bassist/vocalist Trevor Stoia and violinist/vocalist Matt Williams.

Spartanburg, SC-based singer-songwriter Ary will open for HotPoint Trio with a set at 6:30 p.m.
