Grace Arledge Metcalf age 96 of Mill Spring, NC went home to be with her lord on April 24, 2019. 

Born in Polk County to the late Benjamin Harrison Arledge and Dora Bishop Arledge. She was also predeceased by her husband, JP Metcalf; her brothers, Hugh Arledge, Beauford  Arledge and  sister, Nelma Jackson. Grace was a homemaker most of her life and then worked briefly for Mill Springs School in the cafeteria. She was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her children, Janice Green (Leon), Becky McDowell, Johnny Metcalf, Jerry Metcalf (Freda), Bruce Metcalf (Carol), Beverly Metcalf and Rev. Randy Metcalf (Kelly); 24 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Silver Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Metcalf, Rev. Robert Hefner and Dr. Chris Osborne officiating. 

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Her grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. 

The body will lie in state at 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. 

Family will receive friends following the burial in the Silver Creek Family Life Center and other times at the home of Rev. Randy Metcalf at 620 Gilbert Rd Columbus, NC 28722.
