Stimulate your mind and learn a new language organized by Saluda Sister City members. Giuliana Polinari Riley, a native of Italy who has spent her life teaching Italian to adults and children will hold the class at the Saluda Center, 64 Greenville St., Saluda. She currently teaches at Isothermal Community College.   

 

The four-week class will run each Wednesday in June from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The class limit is 15 and price is dependent upon number of students in the class.  

 

Saluda officially became the Sister City of Carunchio, Italy in a ceremony at the Carunchio City Hall on May 13, 2016. The small cities share many commonalities including similar mountainous location, altitude, latitude, climate, population density and demographics. Both celebrate local food, art and music. Saluda Sister City was organized and affiliated with Sister City International which provides general support, grant sources and ideas for rich cultural, educational and business exchanges.
