Two of Polk County’s 911 Lead Emergency Dispatchers – Aslyne Tate and Jeremy Gregg – recently graduated from the PSAP Executive Management Certificate Level 1 Program. They join Operations Supervisor Marty McGuinn and Director James McGuinn, who are also with Polk County Communications, as four of the 61 Emergency Dispatchers who have achieved this accomplishment.

According to Robert Taylor, Vice President for Workforce and Economic Development with Richmond Community College, only about 50% of those who begin this course have successfully completed it so far. This is a 270-hour course designed by the North Carolina 911 Board in conjunction with Richmond Community College to train managers and future managers of NC Public Safety Answer Points.
