Oconee Bells and other plants of the Upstate
The Jocassee Gorges eco-region contains a diversity of plant species ranging from tropical ferns and mosses to alpine species to trees common to Canada. Many of these species can be observed around the shoreline of Lake Jocassee. Join Kay Wade, co-owner of Jocassee Lake Tours, for a look at the diversity of native plants growing in the headwaters of the Upper Savannah River and a discussion of why so many different species are found there. The event will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 6:30 p.m. at the Landrum Depot, located at 211 North Trade St. in Landrum.
