COLUMBUS—Renovations are being made at 191 East Mills Street to facilitate the move of Coldwell Banker Realtyfrom its current location at 40 East Mills Street. Coldwell Banker will reach the four-year mark in Columbus this June but is hoping to move into and open the new office by the end of April.

Cherly Stott, a member and broker for Coldwell Banker, said she is excited and open to the move. The new location is a much larger space in a more visible location, she said

“We are moving into a larger space to help grow the business and add new agents,” Stott said. The new building is right around 3,000 square feet and we currently have less than 1,000. Our new office will include four private offices, conference rooms, a staff break room and a fairly large common area for clients.

The business will reach the four-year mark in the current location this June. The new location at 191 East Mills has higher visibility from the road and will give us better exposure to people passing by.”

Stott said the target date to move into the new office and grand opening is scheduled for April 30Caldwell plans to host the Foothills Chamber of Commerce event late that evening.

We are planning an open house around that time to show the new building to residents,” Stott said. The open house will have music and activities for locals and families to come see during our grand opening.

Owner of Toms Electrical Service, Travis Toms is contracted with Coldwell Banker to update and run new electrical outlets to the new workspaces.

“We are almost finished with the electrical work in all of the offices,” Toms said. “The offices will have floor to ceiling glass walls facing the reception desk and main room. Another crew should start hanging sheetrock on Monday.”

The majority of the space will receive new carpet in the spaces that the existing tile and wood do not cover.

Stott said most of the finishing touches on the renovation should be done in the next two weeks.
