Polk County Veteran Services, in partnership with Polk County Senior Services, welcomed several veterans and their spouses on March 13th to enjoy a free breakfast. Gina Cashion, Polk County Veterans Services Officer, said this is an opportunity to raise awareness for the different services provided for free to veterans. Blue Ridge Health was also onsite providing free health screenings to attendees. Veteran Services will continue to offer free breakfast events, with the next one scheduled for May 8th at 9:00 a.m. at The Meeting Place.
