Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, with Judge Emily G. Cowan presiding, 104 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.  

The following persons were convicted of a crime:  

William Oscar Beckmann was convicted of unsafe movement. Beckmann was fined $20 and court costs.

John William Hill was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Hill was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.  

Gregory T. Hudgens was convicted of no operator’s license. Hudgens was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.  

Christopher C. Jones was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Jones was fined $20 and court costs.  

Jessica A. Montgomery was convicted of two counts of common law uttering and two counts of possession of stolen goods/property. Montgomery was sentenced to 25 days in jail with credit for time served.  

Matthew William Rice was convicted of breaking or entering. Rice was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.  

Alfred Sellers III was convicted of second-degree trespassing. Sellers was sentenced to 13 days in jail with credit for time served.  

Zakiya Anazia Wright was convicted of resisting public officer. Wright was sentenced to 20 days in jail with credit for time served.  

Katelyn Marie Jones was convicted of possession of methamphetamine. Jones was sentenced to one year supervised probation and court costs.  

Timothy Peay was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Peay was fined $278.
