Clarence Waldon “Jack” Jackson

Clarence Waldon “Jack” Jackson of Sierra Vista,AZ, passed away peacefully 3-11-19 at the age of 78 from stroke complications. He graduated from Mill Spring HS in 1959.
Clarence retired from the US Air Force in 1982. He later retired from Civil Service in Anchorage, Alaska.
During his military career, he met and married Marleta “Marty” Sampson, a registered nurse from Lincoln, Nebraska.
Clarence leaves his wife of 51 years, Marleta; daughter, Lisa (Rob) Butler of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brother, Billy Glen of Marion, North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Annie Jackson, of Mill Spring, North Carolina; five sisters; Francis Pittman, Kathleen Maney, Iris Womack, Joan Foster and Emma Carolyn Chapman; and two brothers, Charles and JL John Landrum.
Burial will be at Southern Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista. A Celebration of Life will be held at Village Meadows Baptist Church on April 5 at 10:30 am.
