Coinciding with their persuasion and rhetoric unit, Polk County Middle School seventh graders created inventions for Elon Musk’s upcoming Space X mission. Students designed shelters and invented devices that would help life on Mars, including a water-purification oxygenation system. Students created commercials to advertise these devices and used rhetoric to explore how to best “sell” their systems.
