Wolverine tennis team topples Kings Mountain

Polk County’s boys tennis team continued its early-season success Tuesday, downing Kings Mountain 6-3 in a non-conference road match. 

The Wolverines improved to 3-0 with the win. 

Polk County won five of the day’s six singles matches to seal the team win, with Ryan Heider, Henry Heider, Grant Waddell and Adam Kehrer all winning to remain undefeated this season in singles play.

Jarod Searcy also win his singles match and the Heiders teamed for a doubles win. 

Polk County returns home on Wednesday to face Hendersonville in a non-conference match at 4 p.m.
