Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, with Judge Fritz Mercer presiding, 72 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.  

The following persons were convicted of a crime:  

Rhonda Denise Davis was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Davis was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.

Christopher H. Greene was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Greene was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.  

Roosevelt N. Harvin was convicted of felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwell/place for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Harvin was sentenced to two years supervised probation, a $500 fine and court costs.  

Jonathan Daniel Miller was convicted of no operator’s license. Miller was fined $100 and court costs.  

Holly Ann Small was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Small was fined $50.  

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, with Judge Fritz Mercer presiding, 134 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.  

The following persons were convicted of a crime:  

John Allen Albree II was convicted of a probation violation. Albree was sentenced to 20 days in jail.  

Matthew Joseph Bell was convicted of a level four driving while impaired and level one driving while impaired. Bell was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 12 months unsupervised probation, $200 in lab fees, $200 in fines and court costs.  

Daniel Scott Bridgeman was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Bridgeman was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.  

Steve Randal Cantrell was convicted of fish trout water during closed season. Cantrell was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.  

Megan Leigh Conner was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Conner was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation, one day in jail and court costs.  

James David Damato was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Damato was to pay court costs.  

Erika Annett Davenport was convicted of possession of marijuana. Davenport was sentenced to 16 days in jail with credit.  

Floyd William Dodson was convicted of two counts of possess deer taken during closed season, hunt from a motor vehicle, hunt big game animal to wit, hunting without a license and no big game license. Dodson was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, $1,204 in restitution, a $250 fine and court costs.  

Jack Edward Dodson was convicted of hunting without a license, no big game license, two counts of hunt from a motor vehicle, take a whitetail deer and possession of deer taken in closed season. Dodson was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, $1,204 in restitution, a $250 fine and court costs.  

John Lewis Dyer was convicted of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Dyer was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation and court costs.  

Teka Marie Frank was convicted of possession of methamphetamine. Frank was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, a $200 fine and court costs.  

Timothy Gait was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Gait was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.  

David Patrick Hefner was convicted of driving while license revoked. Hefner was fined $100 and court costs.  

Patrick Lamon Johnson was convicted of level three driving while impaired. Johnson was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 72 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.  

William Perry Lindsey was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Lindsey was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.  

Timothy M. Matheson was convicted of resisting public officer. Matheson was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit.  

Stephen K. Mingorance was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Mingorance was fined $100 and court costs.  

Sarah Lynn Montgomery was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Montgomery was sentenced to one day in jail with credit.  

Marlon Shane Ruff was convicted of a probation violation and resisting public officer. Ruff’s probation was revoked with 19 days credit and was sentenced to 30 days in jail for resisting public officer.  

Alfred Sellers III was convicted of intoxicated and disruptive and first-degree trespassing enter/remain. Sellers was sentenced to seven days in jail with credit.  

Linda S. Shockley was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Shockley was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.  

Mitzy S. Stansberry was convicted of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation and possession of drug paraphernalia. Stansberry was fined $100 and court costs.  

Phillip J. Wellington was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Wellington was fined $40 and court costs.  

Stephen D. Wheelus was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 70 mph zone. Wheelus was fined $10 and court costs.  

Mykailee E. Wilson was convicted of possession of open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Wilson was fined $50 and court costs.  

Trevor Cassidy Young was convicted of resisting public officer. Young was sentenced to two days in jail with credit.
