Cause of death still pending  

 

LANDRUM—A Greer man was identified as the body found on a trail outside Landrum on Wednesday.  

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Scott Andrew Brafford, 51, of Longstreet Drive in Greer on Friday.  

A hiker found Brafford dead on Wednesday evening along the Chestnut Ridge Heritage Preserve Trail, off Oak Grove Road outside Landrum Wednesday just before 7 p.m.  

Authorities said they believe Brafford died around 4:30 p.m. and do not suspect any foul play.  

Results from an autopsy to determine cause of death are still not available.
