Edge Brewing Barcelona is proud to announce a sponsorship with Harmon Classics that will bring an exciting new local Jumper Series to the Tryon Area. The Edge Brewing Barcelona “Over the Edge” Jumper Challenge will include 5 qualifying rounds spread throughout the year which will lead up to the 2nd Annual $5,000 Edge Brewing Barcelona Charity Jumper Classic in late October. During each week of competition, riders can enter and accrue points and winnings in as many as three 1.10m High Schooling Jumper classes. Classes are open to both amateur and professional riders and every Sunday of competition, participants will have the opportunity to compete in a $1,000 High Schooling Jumper Classic held at 1.10m. Winners will receive prize money and points along with unique Edge Brewing Barcelona gear created especially for this Jumper Series. 

At the final Harmon Classics Horse Show of the year in late October, all riders from the previous shows, as well as newcomers, are invited to return to take part in the highlight of this series, the $5,000 Edge Brewing Charity Jumper Classic. The top 3 point-earners of the High Schooling Jumper Classics during the series will have their entry fees waived for the $5,000 Jumper Classic. That class alone will donate 100% of all entry fees collected and will donate to the[KO1]  local horse rescue group HERD (Helping Equines Regain Dignity) www.herdrescue.org. 

In addition to what will certainly be an exciting competition, Edge Brewing Barcelona will once again host a free beer tasting of their award-winning craft beers for participants and spectators (over the age of 21). Lucky attendees will be able to taste some amazing craft brews that are only available in Europe and at the same time cheer on their favorite riders in the class.

Edge Brewing Barcelona is excited to support a new local Jumper Series for the greater Tryon and BRHJA communities. Jumpers at this level have often had to pursue their sport at larger, more expensive venues, but this new series should bring them back to the smaller, local venues where horse showing in Tryon began. Edge Brewing Barcelona is also passionate about building awareness in our community about horse rescue through their support of local charity, HERD (Helping Horses Regain Dignity). As lovers of both horses and beer, Edge Brewing Barcelona expands its mission of “Saving Horses, One Beer at a Time.”
