Outdoor hazards in the animal world presentation at FENCE
Published 10:59 pm Sunday, February 24, 2019
On Saturday, March 2nd at 11am FENCE will be offering an educational program in the great room. This program is free and open to the public.
Although most wild creatures we meet in the woods present little or no danger to us, there are some potential threats that we all need to be aware of when spending time outdoors. Be prepared! Join naturalist Carlton Burke to learn about some of these such as venomous snakes and spiders, stinging and biting insects, and other possible animal hazards you might encounter in the wild. Carlton will be bringing along some live animals for this presentation.
Thank you to the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation for making this event possible. FENCE is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road in Tryon, NC. For more information about this or upcoming events call 828-859-9021, email info@fence.org, or visit www.fence.org.
