Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, with Judge Mack Brittain presiding, 137 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Tiffany J. Cavender was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia and resisting public officer. Cavender was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Jamar Lee Hines was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Hines was fined $40 and court costs.
Hugo Maldonado-Lopez was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Maldonado-Lopez was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Ronald Jeremy Morgan was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Morgan was sentenced to 30 days in jail.
Chase Cole Parks was convicted of attempt trafficking in marijuana. Parks was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, 72 hours of community service, a $500 fine and court costs.
