Michael McDaniel

Michael McDaniel, 69, of Forest City, North Carolina, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, at his residence.
Michael was born Nov. 14, 1949, in Warren County, Virginia, and was a son of the late Owen McDaniel and Thelma June Bohon McDaniel. He was a graduate of Warren County High School, class of 1968.
Michael served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He co-owned and operated the Royal Spray Texture Company in West Palm Beach, Florida and was a faithful member of Smith Grove Baptist Church.
Michael was an animal lover and volunteered at the Rutherford County Humane Society. He and his wife exhibited their love for animals by taking care of several rescue animals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Aaron McDaniel.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 32 years, Patricia Ellen McDaniel; sister, Patricia June Hammer and husband Jerry of Greensboro, North Carolina; a “god son,” Kyle Keene Johnson of Fort Myers, Florida; an “adopted” daughter, Sue Ellen Bron and husband Hank of Warrenton, Virginia; and brother-in-law, James E. Rosser and wife Helen of Elkton, Virginia.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at Smith Grove Baptist, with the Rev. Terry White officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, with military honors being accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
