Polk Middle girls basketball team rallies to defeat Flat Rock

Polk County Middle rallied Thursday from a halftime deficit to defeat Flat Rock Middle 28-23 in Blue Ridge Athletic Conference girls basketball action in Flat Rock.

The Wolverines (2-9) earned their second win of the season by outscoring the Eagles 12-3 in the fourth quarter. Caroline Taylor was 7-of-10 at the foul line in the quarter and Ada Kelley added four points to help the Wolverines secure the win.

Flat Rock dropped to 0-10 with the loss.

Taylor finished with 15 points, with Kelley adding seven. Sarah Gray scored three, Mia Bradley had two and Kayleigh Wilson scored one for Polk Middle.

The Wolverines will host Brevard Middle on Monday in their final regular-season home game.
