Dutch Browning

Dutch Browning, 80, of Tryon, North Carolina, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at his home.

Born Nov. 30, 1938, in Greensboro, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Fred Ray and Louise W. Brown.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, Dutch was the owner/operator of Browning Detective Agency and was a Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Claudette Browning of the home; sons, Jeff Brown of Seneca, South Carolina, and Stephen Brown of Raleigh, North Carolina; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his loving sister, Carolyn of Seneca.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, by the Rev. Andy Case.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
