Wofford President Nayef Samhat visits the Lanier Library for their first Live@Lanier event of the year on at 6 p.m. Thursday to discuss the history and politics of the Middle East.
He will share maps, experiences and a keen insight into the geopolitical history of the region.
Before coming to Wofford College, Samhat was a professor of political science and international studies at Kenyon College in Ohio and at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. His academic interests include international relations theory, international political economics and the politics of the Middle East, especially regarding international relations in the region.
This program will nicely complement the Lanier Library’s Nonfiction Book Club discussion of Tim Marshall’s “Prisoners of Geography” on Sunday, library representatives said.
All Live@Lanier programs are free and open to the public.
