Delmer Dennis Green

Delmer Dennis Green, of Campobello, passed away Monday morning, Dec. 31, 2018, at Magnolia Manor of Spartanburg.

Born in Polk County, he was the son of the late Oscar and Martha Corn Green and husband of the late Jacquelyn Smith Green, who passed away in 1978.

Mr. Green served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. After the war, he went on to work and retire from Landrum Mills.

He enjoyed gardening and fishing. Mr. Green was a member of Tryon Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Surviving is his wife, Helen Green; three sons, Dennis Green of Campobello, Dirk Green (Sandy) of Landrum and Dale Green (Vicki) of Campobello; two daughters, Debbie Marvin (Gerald) of Sorrento, Florida, and Diane Bradbury (Jack) of Gaffney. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at Polk Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Buddy Robbins officiating, with military rites conducted by the Polk County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
