The Polk County Community Foundation and Tryon Downtown Development Association invites the public to Tryon Midnight.

Visitors to downtown may ring in the New Year with an all-local, family-friendly, community-driven night of fun, representatives said. The ball drops at 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

Tryon Midnight entertainment will be the band “Special Edition,” who perform songs from a variety of genres, including Motown, jazz, pop, beach and more.

Starting at 7 p.m., there will be free food, hot chocolate, dancing and music, a kid zone, and more.

The event will be offered free of cost, thanks to the Polk County Community Foundation Free Community Events fund.
