Man charged with reckless driving, fleeing to elude, driving while license revoked
TRYON — A Tryon man was arrested Sunday night after he allegedly fled from officers and crashed his car.
The chase occurred after a Tryon police officer initiated a traffic stop on Lynn Road. The driver of the vehicle fled, and led police officers on a chase down McFarland Road.
The driver of the vehicle, Kevin Andre Davis, 44, of Tryon, lost control of the vehicle and wrecked into a ditch along Scrivens Road.
Davis was charged with reckless driving to endanger, felony fleeing to elude arrest and driving while license revoked, according to the Tryon police report.
“Both the driver and the passenger were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital to be evaluated and released,” said Capt. B.J. Bayne.
As of Monday morning, Davis was still being held at the Polk County Detention Center under an $8,000 bond.
