Sheelah Ann Clarkson

Sheelah Ann Clarkson passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 12, 2018, at her home in Hendersonville. 

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, and raised in upstate South Carolina, she was the daughter of Everett Clifford Clarkson Sr. and Dorothy Houghton Clarkson.  

She graduated from Converse College and received her master’s degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

A real estate professional for more than 30 years, Sheelah was the visionary founder and owner of Sheelah Clarkson Agency. She previously served as vice president of Clarkson Brothers Inc., where she was responsible for industrial and commercial warehousing and distribution.

She also served as faculty at the University of Georgia. 

With several professional accreditations including Accredited Land Consultant, Sheelah was also an accomplished chef, musician, equestrian and published poet. She had a gift for negotiations, a passion for life and a deep spirit of generosity and kindness.

Sheelah is survived by her siblings, Sheryl Clarkson Bland (Patrick Doherty), Sharon Amann (Andre), Harold Clarkson, Clifford Clarkson Jr. (Patsy); partner, Linda Faulkner; and dear friend, Gerrye Clegg; as well as several nieces and nephews.
