The city of Landrum recognized the late councilman Jon Matheis by presenting a plaque to his wife, Judy, during Tuesday’s council meeting. Matheis was a councilman for a decade before he died from cancer in August. Judy said her husband loved Landrum and always wanted the best for the city.
