The winter weather that struck the area earlier this week continues to impact local athletic schedules.

Polk County Middle’s basketball games and wrestling match with Rugby on Thursday has been rescheduled for Jan. 8, with basketball games at Polk Middle and wrestling at Rugby.

Polk Middle has announced makeup dates for its events postponed on Monday. The Wolverine wrestling team will host Brevard Middle on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. while the Polk Middle basketball squads will travel to Brevard for games beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Polk County High’s basketball games with T.C. Roberson on Wednesday are also postponed. No makeup date has been announced.

Information on Thursday’s basketball and wrestling events for Polk County High School will be announced.
