Ann and Jim Troppmann were awarded the Governor’s Cup at the U.S. Eventing Association Year End Awards last week. The award honors those individuals who labor tirelessly behind the scenes at the many jobs associated with running the sport and whose services have contributed significantly to eventing. The couple had no idea their kids were in the audience to watch them receive the award. Ann is the former president of the Tryon Riding & Hunt Club and is heavily involved in the Green Creek Hounds, Pony Club and the grooms program at Isothermal Community College.
